You don't rise to the occasion. You fall to the level of your preparation. The MARCH IFAK is built around the same treatment sequence used by military medics and civilian EMS: Massive hemorrhage, Airway, Respirations, Circulation, and Hypothermia.

It is organized for capable response by trained professionals and ordinary people using familiar bleeding-control actions. The goal is a compact kit that gives you more useful treatment options without turning every item into a specialized tool.

More practical pressure dressings in less space

The included 5 x 9 inch dressings and self-adhering gauze let you build a pressure dressing with the natural motion most people already understand: place the dressing, apply pressure, wrap while maintaining tension, and secure it. That is a more intuitive process for many users than a specialized tactical pressure bandage that may require techniques they have never practiced.

Because the kit carries multiple dressings instead of concentrating that space in a single tactical pressure bandage, it can support treatment of up to five wounds, depending on wound size, severity, and how supplies are used. That gives one compact package meaningful multi-patient capability for a vehicle, classroom, workplace, range bag, or group outing.

Additional occlusive options

The plastic wrappers on the 5 x 9 dressings, the chest-seal packaging, and medical tape can provide additional occlusive-dressing options when appropriate. They can help you adapt to more than one penetrating or open wound scenario while preserving the purpose-built chest seals for where they are most needed. This flexibility is a supplement to training, not a replacement for it.

Compact light with hands-free options

The lightweight clip-on light takes up little room and can attach to a shirt or other convenient point, leaving both hands available for patient care. Its included lenses give you options for using a lower-visibility light color in environments where you may not want a bright white light to make your position as obvious.

• Massive hemorrhage: CAT or SOFTT-W tourniquet, 5 x 9 inch dressings, self-adhering gauze, hemostatic and wound-packing gauze, and medical tape
